The Fast RAP (Review, Analysis and Planning) service is based on over 20 years’ experience of delivering nearly 400 reviews and projects across ITSM/ITSL, Service Desks, CRM and Contact Centres. This provides a low risk and low cost option for organisations looking at how to improve the quality and/or efficiency of their services.
The focus is not simply on ITSM processes or ‘compliance’ with methodologies (e.g. ITIL), but on the issues that are directly related to the success of your business. So we strive to build a set of clear business objectives and ‘services’ that add £/$ value and context to existing ITSM activity.
You will receive an in-depth initial consultancy report on existing issues and their business impact, with clear recommendations for improvement and what benefits can be achieved. This enables you to quickly receive experienced external input and QA to reduce the risk and cost of your project.
In addition you will have a practical plan with which to kick off your project, using established and proven templates and techniques to get people on board and working to a clear set of business objectives.
Using a combination of personal interviews and structured questions, we establish initial feedback and build the picture of where issues may lie. Face-to-face interviewing is vital to build relationships and get direct feedback from staff and management – this also helps to build ‘buy-in’ later in the project.
We provide an initial consultancy report containing the following as standard:
Management Summary – a short executive overview
SWOT analysis – Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats
Issues summary – identification of cause and business impact
Recommendations – Strategic options and practical benefits
Quick Wins – fast inexpensive changes that can have an impact
Route Map – high level initial planning
This is presented and discussed with the relevant management team. We will also provide decision support to guide the organisation on how best to proceed. Then with a clear mandate we will develop project scoping, costing and planning, including business case development as needed. We will also guide you on the best use of your people’s skills and resources to deliver the project.
Finally we start the project process with a relevant Project Definition or Service Strategy Workshop, also providing relevant project documentation to save you time and money.
At this stage we can stand back and leave you to deliver the project, or offer to provide some suitable level of support – e.g. Project Consulting or other project resources. It is of course best that you and your team carry out and deliver the project, however we can offer a variety of key skills when needed.
